Can I study without staying / eating at Blink?
Yes you can and about 15% of our students don´t stay with us. You are still welcome to attend all of our activities and the discount off of our packages without dorm/meals is 259.000 COP per week. There is probably no better value than our package with dorm and meals but we surely don´t mind teaching you if you choose to stay elsewhere.

We have 3 different packages you can choose from:

1. Blink Classic Immersion - 949.000 COP for the 1st week, 899.000 COP for additional weeks

including:

20 group classes per week

2 private classes per week

5 nights of accommodation (Sunday-Friday)

breakfast and lunch on weekdays

2. Blink Plus Immersion - 1.119.000 COP for the 1st week, 1.069.000 COP for additional weeks

including:

20 group classes per week

5 private classes per week

5 nights of accommodation (Sunday-Friday)

breakfast and lunch on weekdays

3. Blink Monster Immersion - 1.279.000 COP for the 1st week, 1.249.000 COP for additional weeks

including:

20 group classes per week

8 private classes per week

5 nights of accommodation (Sunday-Friday)

breakfast and lunch on weekdays.

4. Private classes - about 66.500 COP per hour depending on the package.

In case you would like to book your accommodation and not eat with us, you will receive a discount of 259.000 COP per week.

Yes, we have 25 private rooms / studios available, with the cost of EXTRA 327.500-427.500 COP (in the case of rooms) or 451.250-641.250 COP (in case of studios) per week.

If you book a private accommodation, you have 7 nights included (Sunday-Sunday).

In case you would like to book your accommodation and not eat with us, you will receive a discount of 259.000 COP per week.

Depending on your group, the class will start either at 8:00, or 8:30, or at 9:00 and will last for 4 hours (break included).

The private classes are scheduled for the afternoon, usually between 12:30-18:30.

There are usually 3-6 students in a group.

Yes, we teach more than 15 levels to ensure that everyone receives the education they need.

You will be sent a placement test, which we will use to assess your level and assign you to a group accordingly.

We teach each level according to the CEFR framework.

We have our own coursebook written by our certified academic staff.

A notebook and a pen can always come handy! But you will receive the course book from us on your first day.

Yes, we do have vegan and vegetarian options in our restaurants.

It is important to mention that Blink cannot provide any documentation for a visa application (invitation letters, acceptance letters etc).

We can only take in students who are eligible for a tourist permit or who already have a visa. Most European and American citizens are allowed to stay in Colombia for 90 days without a visa.

As we start new students and groups every Monday, our official schedule isn´t released until the Sunday before classes begin.

Make sure to check your spam folder as our schedule emails often go to spam.

Yes. All of our professors are not just native speakers, but Colombians where the Spanish accent and grammar are considered the clearest and most correct in the world.

YES.  And this is important.  All of our teachers have at least intermediate English.  For you beginners… this is important because as a beginner certain things need clarity.  A clouded mind doesn´t learn as well as a clear one.

You can switch your teacher after the first week at the school.  You will just have to contact us via online@blinkspanish.com.

We run a Cervantes-style curriculum which teaches Spanish in 14 different levels (A1.1-C2).  We like to focus in the most practical grammar and conversation, but we are always flexible.  In private classes you are the boss.  We can follow our curriculum or work on what you want.  To see our curriculum guide please click the following link.  The curriculum guide will show you what you learn at each level.

We are working on this because we want you to be able to tip, but it surely isn´t necessary.  Each of our employees profit share at Blink and we do our best to provide them with a work environment that is both fun and designed to support their development as great humans.

The deposit can be sent by online credit card payment also. By credit card, the deposit is 88.000COP per desired week of study + the platform fee.
The deposit will be discounted from your total when you arrive.

You will be able to pay the remainder of your bill on the first day of class by card or cash. As the Colombian bank charges us 4% on all card payments, we have to charge 2.5% on all card payments. The paypal and online credit card charge on the deposit is 7.5%.

If you let us know 7 days in advance that you cannot make it, we can refund your deposit. In case you inform us later than 7 days, we cannot refund you.

Our packages for those who stay in dorms include only 5 nights (Sunday-Friday) but you are more than welcome to extend for the weekend for an extra 52.250-71.250 COP/ night.

If you don’t extend, you can check out any time on Friday.

If you stay for the weekend, you will have to check out by 12:00PM on Sunday.

We have many different dorm rooms with 4-6-8 beds. Some of our rooms have queen sized beds that could also be booked for couples or friends who would like to share.

Yes, we have 20 queen sized beds for the price of extra 47.500-71.250 COP per week. In case two people would like to share this bed, they don´t need to pay any surcharge.

Our classrooms are in 4 different buildings (including the hostel), all of them within 100 meters.

Yes, we have community kitchens in our buildings with a fridge, oven and stove.

Even though we love pets, unfortunately, we cannot allow them in the dorm rooms.

Many of our activities are free, you just need to pay for the transportation to get there and back (usually around 6.000-8.000 COP). Some of our activities however have a small fee (e.g.: Tejo costs around 18.000 COP and it includes the activity, transportation and a beer 😉 )

Of course! All of our students are welcome to join.

We teach classes from Monday to Friday but our hostel has a 24/7 reception in case you need any help.

Trial classes are exactly like our other classes but they last just 45 minutes, while normal classes are 1-hour (or more depending on what you schedule and pay for).

You will have up to 3 months after the date of the purchase.

You can switch your teacher whenever you want.  You will just want to contact us through the student portal.

If you would like to reschedule or cancel a class, you need to confirm 48 hours prior to the class.

We are flexible and We will work with you to schedule your classes.

If you consider yourself more lazy than most, we actually suggest an app over paying for classes.  APP´s are free and very few people ACTUALLY LEARN with them.  The developers of these APP´s are very wealthy and very smart.  They know that most people want to learn a language and prey on that desire by offering the world in an APP (that doesn´t work) but you keep doing it because it´s sort of fun and you don´t want to feel incapable or give up.  We don´t roll like that.  We actually have a mission that our students WILL SPEAK SPANISH.  ¡VAMANOS! Not a silly question and the answer is actually, YES.  Learning languages puts a dormant part of your brain back to work increasing your aptitude for greater memory and overall mental function.
